Alumni Hour session (online) with esteemed alumni of the IIT Indore

On April 20, 2025, the Alumni Cell of IIT Indore successfully conducted an Alumni Hour session online with three of the esteemed alumni: Ms. Akshita Mittal – B.Tech MEMS 2024; currently working as a Digital Consultant at Accenture Japan. Mr. Shankar Nakka – B.Tech ME 2024; currently working as a Data Architecture Analyst at Accenture Japan. Mr. Sai Praveen S. – B.Tech ME 2023; currently a Software Engineer at Rakuten Mobile, Tokyo. The session featured a wide range of discussions—from how working abroad can help one build global connections, to the cultural differences between India and Japan—in both workspace and cuisine—and how their ‘IITian tag’ opened doors to career opportunities abroad. They shared valuable insights on adaptability and skill development, illustrating how, despite having studied in core engineering disciplines, they successfully weaved paths for themselves into non-core domains.
